AerBand is a wearable air pollution monitoring product designed for universities and institutions conducting research into air pollution and human health.

Researchers today have limited tools for measuring individual exposures to air pollution Outdoor air quality data is constrained by a small number of monitoring stations and indoor monitoring (home, car, work, etc.) is virtually non-existent. Finding new tools to improve individual air pollution exposure data has been a priority for researchers.

AerNos has developed a low-cost nano gas sensor capable of detecting multiple gases simultaneously to ppb levels. AerBand is designed to be worn 24/7 enabling researchers, for the first time, to measure an individual’s exposure to air pollutants

Individual air pollution monitoring will enable researchers improve understanding of the connections between specific pollutants and disease and measure the efficacy of exposure reduction strategies
