Breakthrough multi-gas detection capabilities, size and affordability of AerCity and AerHome will put powerful new tools in the hands of cities, health officials and consumers, exponentially increasing the information available for reducing exposure to dangerous gases and protecting public health.

CES 2018 – LAS VEGAS, Nevada — (January 9, 2018) – In a press conference at CES 2018, AerNos, an innovator in nano gas sensors, unveiled AerCity and AerHome, game-changing air pollution and hazardous gas detection products developed for integration into third party Smart City and Smart Home devices.

AerCityTM and AerHomeTM feature AerCNT technology for simultaneous multi-gas detection to parts-per-billion levels. AerNos sensors are low power, always on, self-calibrating and affordable. AerCity and AerHome are designed to be plug-and-play ready for easy integration into the third party devices of customers.

• AerCity nano gas sensors will revolutionize Smart Cities by making possible large networks of gas sensors deployed at a granular level, embedded into IoT devices such as smart parking meters and smart LED street lights. Until now, size, cost and ongoing calibration issues have made deployment of large numbers of gas sensors impractical. With AerCity, Smart Cities can monitor air pollution, climate gases and infrastructure leaks at a granular level 24/7 leading to faster, more informed and better decision making.

• AerHome nano gas sensors will create smarter, safer homes for families. AerHome enables room-by-room networks of personal digital assistants, appliances, smart lights, air filtration systems and other IoT devices for real-time detection of indoor air pollutants and dangerous gases. Families looking to Smart Homes to improve health and wellness will have air quality information at their fingertips, smart devices using the information to improve indoor air and real-time recommendations for reducing exposure and improving health.

“AerNos sensors are an exciting development because gas sensors today are simply too big and too expensive to deploy the way they are needed in order to protect our health and the health of the planet,” said Tom Baer, Executive Director of the Stanford Photonics Research Center, consulting professor in the Stanford University Applied Physics Department and AerNos Advisor. “AerCity and AerHome are poised to make a huge difference by dramatically increasing the information we have which can help us reduce our exposure to pollution and lessen the impact of pollution related diseases .”

“We are thrilled be announcing AerCity and AerHome here at CES 2018. These two products are core to our vision of improving health and wellness in a profound way.” said Sundip R. Doshi, Founder and CEO of AerNos. “We are excited to utilize our breakthrough nanotechnology AerCNT, to bring air pollution and gas monitoring capabilities to the Smart Home and Smart City devices of our customers.”

Air pollution is a significant contributor to illness, disease and death around the world, with health effects that include birth defects, asthma and other lung diseases, heart disease, cancer, ADHD and other diseases. The Lancet Commission on Pollution and Health recently reported that pollution is the largest cause of premature death, 16% of all premature deaths worldwide, and air pollution is the biggest contributor.

As a part of its vision of a trillion nano gas sensor network, in addition to announcing AerCity and AerHome, AerNos announced AerBand Research, a wearable or clip-able air pollution monitoring device developed for air pollution health research.
